ERIC SWINDERMAN
Guitar

San Francisco Examiner music critic, Phil Elwood, describes Eric Swinderman as "a marvelous guitar player-unassuming, imaginative.  He projects a clear, strong line."  When Eric plays, the audience is involved.  His performances are the kind that jazz lovers crave: the emphasis is on mellow sounds, but, at the same time, he swings, Really swings.  Eric's ability to pull together groups and lead them into highly successful stints allows him to provide ensemble as well as individual talent.  His bands have enjoyed extensive engagements at Ivey's, Solomon Grundy's and Pasand's in San Francisco, California.  in addition to critical acclaim for his solo work, Eric is also in demand as a sideman for Bay Area celebrity singers.

You've seen and heard Eric on television, radio and stage since 1980...In New York, Washington, D.C., Ceasar's Palace, in las Vegas, The Vineyards in Napa Valley and to clubs throughout Northern California.  Eric has performed at several resorts and hotels on the island of Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia.  He has taught guitar workshops at the Jazz Camp and several college campuses.

Eric is a dynamic musician and composer.  Yet, perhaps, his most striking talent is his ability to create an intimate and genuine rapport with his audience and fellow musicians.  His humor and candid style make him a pleasure to know, work with, and see on stage.
